Clothes build identity. They can give a person character or, conversely, give a person anonymity. They convey status, personality, feelings – without having to say a word. They are our form of silent communication.
The texture of fabric is like the wrinkles of skin, speaking even while we sleep. Without asking, we can learn about a person – more than they would tell us about themselves. They may not talk – but the clothes will speak for them
